Melbourne is named the world's most liveable city
As Sydney slides to 11th placed over 'terrorism fears'
Melbourne has again been named the world's most liveable city while Sydney has been knocked out of the top 10 over 'terrorism fears'.
The Victorian capital has topped the Economist Intelligence Unit's most
liveable city for the sixth year running on Thursday.
Sydney was surprisingly dumped from seventh to 11th because of 'a heightened perceived threat of terrorism'.
Although the top five cities remain unchanged, the past year has seen
increasing instability across the world, causing volatility in the scores of
many cities,' the report said.
Paris took a plummet to 32nd place and Syria's city of Damascus was ranked last.
