Is Twitter in trouble? Social network could be about to cut 300 JOBS.

The firm could slash its workforce by as much as eight percent this week. Bloomberg reports that it will make an announcement on Thursday. Twitter's plan to sell itself was left in tatters earlier this month as the last major bidder walked away from a deal.

As the battle between the world's big social networks intensifies, Twitter could be making widespread job cuts this week, according to new reports.
The firm may be about to make 300 jobs, slashing its workforce by eight percent, reports Bloomberg, citing 'people familiar with the matter'.
The job cuts could be announced before the company reports third-quarter earnings on Thursday, and the number of jobs affected could change, Bloomberg said.

Twitter declined to comment on the matter.

Last year, Twitter announced plans to lay off up to 336 employees, a week after Jack Dorsey, its co-founder who had been serving as interim chief executive, took over as permanent CEO.
