In Monforte, the harvests invite you to relax in a five-star wine hotel
Until 1 October, the Torre de Palma Wine Hotel, in Monforte, proposes two harvesting programs that include visits to the vineyards, grape selection, lunch and dinner, among other activities in the Alentejo.
Torre de Palma Wine Hotel started the grape
harvest on 19 August with the "vinalia rustica", the Roman grape
harvest festival, which also marks the beginning of the hotel's grape harvest
programme. And, as tradition dictates, it ends on 11 October, celebrating the
"meditrinalia", when the must is consecrated.
In order to share these traditions of the wine calendar, the hotel organises two immersive programmes during which participants will spend a day in the vineyard, participate in the harvest, in the winery, learn more about the vineyards and grape varieties, choose the best grapes, tread on foot and taste the wines and will have the opportunity to taste the flavours of the Alentejo in the Basilii restaurant, in harmony with the wines of the Torre de Palma winery.
The "One Day Programme" includes a visit to the vineyards to get to know the grape varieties with the possibility of participating in the experiences related to the production of Torre de Palma wine, followed by a visit to the Torre de Palma winery and tasting of two wines and lunch at Basilii Restaurant with Torre de Palma wine.
On the other hand, the "Two Nights Program" includes, on the first day, a special dinner with a five moment menu and wine pairing (single table), with the presence of the chef de cuisine. On the second day, the participants, after breakfast, visit the vineyards to get to know the grape varieties with the possibility of participating in the experiences related to the production of Torre de Palma wine, followed by a visit to the winery and tasting of four wines with regional products.
The day ends with free time to enjoy other activities (not included in the suggested programme). The third day starts with breakfast, followed by a check-out.
