With 63 production and engineering sites in 26 countries and 18 service centers across the world, Bombardier Transportation is a global leader in the rail industry, covering the full spectrum of rail solutions, ranging from complete trains to sub-systems, maintenance services, system integration and signalling.

As the world's leading manufacturer of both planes and trains, Bombardier has built an extensive and diverse portfolio of winning mobility solutions. Everywhere people travel by land and in the air, there is a Bombardier product ready to transport them. From category-defining business jets and commercial aircraft designed for the challenges of today, to sleek high speed trains and public transit that's smarter than ever.

But it's not just its products and services that make the company a global leader. The most important success factor lies on its 74,000 employees, focused on making mobility more efficient, sustainable and inviting than ever before.

Bombardier has invested heavily in the train business, making some dreams come true in a shorter period than expected. Technological innovation brought the commercial monorail into existence and prepares for new leaps forward in the rail industry. Faster trains, more reliable, with higher comfort for passengers and less expensive to operate are the next steps for the canadian company.

Today, Bombardier presents a complete product line, from carriages and bogies to locomotives and rail management systems. Here are the most cutting-edge:

High speed trains

Fast, safe, reliable and comfortable high speed and very high speed trains are now rivaling air travel as an efficient means of transportation for long distances. As a result, political decisions have been taken and infrastructure investments made to boost train travel over longer distances.

Bombardier has been a key player in the design and delivery of almost all major European very high speed trains as well as other significant international high speed projects, with an impressive portfolio of over 20 products worldwide.

To maximize the potential of high-speed, long-distance rail travel, operators need innovative rail equipment that meets new requirements for interoperability, economy, reliability, energy efficiency and the ability to ride both dedicated and non-dedicated tracks.

The company's in-depth experience in rail vehicle engineering is matched by extensive knowledge of all industrial, economical and operational parameters – a combination that ensures commercial success for high speed services. As an active partner and supplier, the company provides operators with enhanced added value.

Bombardier's ZEFIRO high speed train family is the culmination of the company's long-standing reputation in this market segment. Developed for speeds between 250 and 380 km/h, ZEFIRO offers the highest levels of comfort and capacity, low operating costs and diverse application options for different countries and railway networks.
