UNTHINKABLE AND UNFORGETTABLE
With a unique display designed to let us see all the mechanism inside the watch, Tread 1 allows a quick and precise answer to the question "what time is it?".

Classic, imposing, innovative and with a peculiar charm, this piece of Haute Horlogerie is a 'must' for new technologies lovers. For some, defined as one of the most revolutionary models due to its on-board integrated microprocessor that allows a control of all functions of the watch, the "bulletproof" polycarbonate construction and a rechargeable lithium polymer battery which lasts up to two weeks on a single charge. The features of this watch create a perfectly spectacular symbiosis, between the traditional watchmaking and gadgets.
The watch is a stunning piece that joins the best in the world of watchmaking with technology. The square and huge design, stimulates the look of others and enhances the user a truly colossal experience about the vision of the real time.
This piece is composed of four TimeBelts (belts) of glass-fiber reinforced nylon, which show the current time, the minute, the second and the hundredth of a second. These belts have a thickness of just two thousandths of an inch and an "optical recognition system" that ensures the accuracy of movements and which are powered by the lithium battery.
Charging the battery 1 Tread is magnetically induced through its cover. To do this, just set the clock on top of the same, not requiring any other connection. But, how do you know that the battery is over? The TimeBelts, as they tell the time with accuracy, are indicators of the durability of the battery: when it is downloading, they advance two seconds. In a way, we can say that these belts are the heart of Tread 1.
According to Blake Buettner, a blogger who specializes in watch, the clock starts a mixed feeling at the time of its use. On one hand, the imposing and differentiating design creates a feeling of vanity in the wrist. However, this watch is a really great piece, with about of 53.3 mm, 47 mm in length and 19 mm thick. In spite of its size, Buettner describes it as "surprisingly comfortable" and easy to use, motivated by its rubber handles.
The time playback is constant, meaning, at the precise moment, so if you are in a quiet place it'll be very likely to hear incessantly the rotating TimeBelts. To avoid this situation, the brand has created a silent mode that, when enabled, stops the rotation of the belts. But, don't be alarmed, the hours continue to be internally recorded, however they're only shown when you disable the mode.
The Tread 1 model is patented by Californian brand Devon Watches. The brand was inspired on the traces of big global brands to conceive Tread 1. This is a totally new product, and has not been required, for its manufacturing, suppliers of other watch makers. On the contrary, Devon chose to wedge its watches after its American nationality, using national aeronautics industry suppliers.
The industrial design, seductive and powerful of the Devon Tread 1, gave the mark the first nomination for the category of best Design and Concept Watch of the Grand Prix of Geneva in 2010. This was the first time an American watch brand was named. The model has two versions: Tread 1E with the cover and DLC coating in black, and 1F version that chooses the colors black and orange on the dial and strap.
The model is an amazing piece of watchmaking and technology, considered an "impressive machine" of space engineering. Tread 1, brings together the best of both worlds, characterized not only by its design but also by its exposed gear, sensors and belts that give life to the watch and give it its own identity. This piece of Haute Horlogerie is a 'must have' for gadgets lovers.
