THE ULTIMATE LOCOMOTION AID
Most people go about their lives on foot, but there are those who need canes, crutches, or even a locomotion aid. Today, we will talk about wheelchairs. Used for a wide range of needs, wheelchairs must take into account specific characteristics, such as person's condition, mobility aspects, because, after all it is where the users spend a big part of their daily life.
At Küschall, what is the most important is not the actual wheelchair, but the person who uses it. Particularly functional and versatile, Küschall wheelchairs are also lightweight, with a slender and minimal design. Thanks to their compact size, they are convenient to handle, easy to transport, and would fit even in the smallest places.
Küschall prides itself on its top quality material, innovation strength and smart mechanical assembling solutions. They are able to achieve impressive frame rigidity and stiffness, but also high adjustability, to offer both perfect driving performance and the most efficient and ergonomically correct active sitting position.
Every wheelchair are hand built and assembled by a specialist fitter in the factory in Witterswil, Switzerland, followed by a stringent quality inspection and field tests when they are developed. Before leaving the factory every wheelchair is closely examined by Küschall, who checks all measurements, and carries out functionality and driving performance tests.
With a rectilinear look, the KSL has everything anyone could want in a wheelchair, in an incredibly elegant and minimal design, and with easier and lighter handling, plus a slenderer foot-and-leg space. Every element of this Küschall wheelchair was pondered in detail.
The wheelchair can even feature a personal touch, like laser engraving your name, a flag or a photo, on the bearing block. Along with the MATRIX seat cushions and backrest, this Küschall wheelchair can be even more customised. It's also lighter and more dynamic than any other Küschall wheelchair, weighing 4.3kg without the rear wheels. There's also the option of a foldaway backrest that can be locked into place for transport with just one click, perfect for transport and storage.
The Advance is highly stable, with optimal positioning of the thighs, and perfect support upon transferring. This wheelchair offers various options for precise settings. It is designed for people whose preferences and needs change over time. Even the centre of gravity can be adjusted in order to move forwards much more easily and smoothly. The brakes, which are attached to the carbon seat, with special slits in the carbon, can be moved horizontally for a smooth, precise adjustment of the centre of gravity and the position of the rear wheels. The fixed carbon seat has polyester strips which can be pulled through flexible rear slats, to set the pressure distribution and suspension for the most adequate seating position. The Advance also features the MATRIX seat cushions and backrest.
The "Quick release frame" allows you to exchange the whole front frame. You can order a second frame with other front wheels, in other colours or a newer frame, with another bracket. This way, you only need one wheelchair that can be adjusted for every occasion. In just a few simple steps you can take it all apart: rear wheels, side components, seat cushions, front frame, and the only thing that remains is a seating module weighing approximately 4kg.
As we saw, Küschall works hard to produce wheelchairs that are a part of the person using it. They create chairs with adjustable characteristics, including the centre of gravity! Even transporting them is easy, given their disassembling possibilities. Light, minimal and practical, Küschall's wheelchairs can provide the best performance, and guarantee the passenger's comfort.
