THE RUSSIAN "DOLCE VITA" BY CONFAEL

It is not because of the lack of options that it is so hard nowadays to choose a gift. On the contrary, with the abundancy of nice things at stores anyone can afford, people became very difficult to get surprised with a gift.

<

15 years ago, a brand-new trend in Russian confectionary industry was created: gifts and premium products made of chocolate. The Moscow brand "Confael", founded in 2001 by Irina Eldarkhanova, brings to life the concept of a private chocolate factory producing sophisticated chocolate gifts in bright design packaging.

The chocolatiers at Confael keep searching for new gustatory combinations applying a vast range of ingredients: fillings and cremes based on almond, hazelnut, coffee, cocoa, coconut, chocolate, marzipan and fresh fruit. Confael is one of the first factories in Russia which introduced macadamia nuts into production – the most expensive nut in the world, delicious, and extremely healthy. While manufacturing handmade chocolates, no preservatives are used, that is why their "best before" is quite short – from 15 days to 4 months. The expiration date of series production candies is 6-12 months.

The factory has high-precision German, Danish, and Russian equipment. Some technological processes are unique and the know-how thoroughly kept away from the eyes of the competitors. Today, the production line of Confael has over 3000 articles, including around 100 varieties of exclusive handmade chocolates, where especial attention is dedicated not only to the highest quality of the ingredients, but also to how the packing looks like, thar are resembling that of jewels, decorated with satin, chiffon, and velvet.

The novelty of Confael is the creation of gift collections for each season, as it happens with the garment collections. Each one sticks to a certain theme, and features elegancy and exquisite design. The exclusiveness and unusualness of their production can be judged by the already created single copy chocolate gifts and souvenirs made to order. For instance, Confael manufactured a bespoke with four meters long and one-ton heavy chocolate alligator. The delivery to the client was made with the help of a lifting crane.

A famous Russian singer, Lev ("Lion") Leshenko, received a chocolate lion for his Jubilee, made by order of his colleague and singer Irina Ponarovskaya. Among the clients of Confael are admirers of chocolate exclusivities and many people known worldwide as Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Slava Zaitsev, Anatoly Tchubais, Anastasija Volochkova, and many others.  Also, Garry Kasparov, one of the greatest chess-players in the history, is the owner of a unique chess set made of chocolate by Confael, half of the figures made of dark chocolate, and the other half of white chocolate. The renowned violoncellist Mstislav Rostropovich was so impressed by a chocolate violoncello he received as a 75th anniversary gift, that he ordered another chocolate violoncello, as a present for the Queen of the United Kingdom.

The ten Confael boutiques are the only places in Russia where professional artists create paintings, portrays, photographs, evening gowns, "jewellery", bass-reliefs of buildings, and statues of chocolate. More than ten colours of the finest chocolate are used in this creative process. By mixing different types of chocolate, an artist gets over 100 shades and tones. For each chocolate confection, though it is an eatable product, it is created a registered certificate proving its exclusivity, as it happens in any piece of art.

Willing to astonish your near and dear, you will find for sure ideal presents in Confael boutiques, either a chocolate telegram for your "loved one", a set of tools for your father, a majestic statue for your boss, or a book for colouring with chocolate colours for your kid.
