Swiss Special

In 1959, David Mosimann, an inventive precision mechanic with a very entrepreneurial mindset, decided to set up his own business by founding Bien-Air. The company expanded continually and in 2001 it created two spin-off companies, Bien-Air Dental and Bien-Air Surgery, in order to provide perfectly adapted specialist services.

<

The company, located in Switzerland, has its head office in Bienne, while its other two production and assembly plants are in the Jura canton. Established in "Watch Valley", with its cultural heritage of research, high precision and practical ingenuity, the company creates and manufactures all its products locally.

Today, the company has more than 350 employees in Switzerland and worldwide. Its products are distributed through its subsidiaries and retailers. At the same time, more than 120 technicians provide fast and efficient after sales service. The companies of Bien-Air Holding remain under the control of the Mosimann family, ensuring the group's independence, stability and continuity.

Over the years, Bien-Air has evolved from being a manufacturer of Swiss Made instruments to a customized line designer. The main idea is to reduce the number of instruments and devices to a minimum in order to perform a maximum of operations.

This strategy has enabled Bien-Air continually to improve the efficiency of its instruments, increasing the capacity of its electronic controls and developing new systems.

Through close cooperation between a dental prosthesis clinic and Bien-Air, innovative ideas and concepts have already materialised. The requirements based on everyday practice served as reference for the development of various products in the sectors of micromotors (MX family) and precision instruments, with a view to establishing more reliable and simpler clinical treatment and laboratory procedures. New innovative developments have proved themselves each day in the clinic, thanks to their reliability and professional service.

Benefits

Practitioners can use electric motors by simply connecting iOptima to their existing dental unit. For an astonishingly small outlay, they can equip their practice with the performance of electric technology and enjoy the range of benefits it provides.

Treating a large number of patients has direct consequences on the profitability. The functionalities of the iOptima application and the performance of Bien-Air electric instruments combine to drastically reduce the time taken for the procedures.

Equipped with the most advanced technology ever developed, the iOptima is simple, efficient and risk-free. Restorative and endodontic procedures can be pre-programmed. Simply indicate the type of procedure and select tools from the best-known manufacturers to access parameters such as the contra-angle, speed, torque and direction of rotation.
Unlike other systems available on the market, iOptima is upgradeable: new functions are regularly added. This means that the performance and possibilities offered by iOptima are improved each time you update the application on your iPod.

The Apple user interface is ergonomic and extremely intuitive. It makes the system extraordinarily easy to use. The iOptima application for iPod touch, developed by Bien-Air Dental, offers numerous pre-programmed options.
Designed and developed to meet the needs of all practitioners in any situation, the system offers a choice between using pre-programmed options and customizing each parameter, either before or during procedures. The iOptima allows practitioners to program custom settings and to modify them at any time.
In addition, the Auto-reverse and Auto-forward functions for the application mean that you can carry out endodontic treatments in complete safety.
iOptima comes with the Bien-Air MX2 Led micromotor, which offers the best performance on the market. The micromotor's Smart Logic electronic management system automatically controls the power and compensates immediately for any variations in pressure on the tool. The MX2-Led simplifies and optimizes restorative, prophylactic and endodontic procedure.
The MX2 micromotor and Micro-Series contra-angle combination significantly reduces hand fatigue - thanks to perfect balance and a reduction in size. MX2 and Micro-Series is the world's smallest electric handpiece.
