SOFTNESS RHYMES WITH HARDNESS

It is well known the difficulty to perform certain tasks while wearing heavy stiff gloves. Dexterity, sensibility and maneuverability, are all concepts these gloves don't know. But Ansell is changing the scenery.

The Australian manufactures for protection equipment for many sectors has been developing and perfecting a fibre which allows everything other materials can't provide, so far.

Dyneema is the stronger and lighter fibre, known to Man. This fibre, found in 1963, is produced industrially since 1990. This fibre shows an unusual stiffness, therefore confined to the production of cables for very heavy work, and away from the more widespread use, as fabrics.

Ansell's research and development section, however, found a way to a better use of this component, by refining and mixing Dyneema with carbon fibre. Thus obtaining a new fibre, softer but stronger and with more grip, ideal for producing a good heavy-duty gloves.

The HyFlex range, from Ansell, offers a wide choice of protections, designed to do the hardest work on the planet.

And HyFlex 11-840 gloves are, an excellent example of that. This is a very lightweight and hand adaptable glove, very smooth and sensitive allowing detailed tasks, and is resistant to a level 3 cut, according to ANSI standards (American National Standards Institute).

To complete, Ansells polymer plants, have taken over the thin cover, in resin, on this new material, giving it more grip and allowing various kinds of works with the hands, always in maximum protection.

Several mining companies in Australia, have opted for Ansell range, as it ensures the protection of the worker without risk of injury and they are much more durable than  other options on the market.
