SLEEP WITH THE STARS

Without walls or roofs, the hotel rooms, that we show you in this Your VIP Partner edition, have a privileged view of the sky, more precisely the Swiss Alps sky - it is called Null Stern and more than a hotel, it is an unusual experience.

When we travel, one of the concerns is always about the accommodation. In general, we evaluate the comfort, location, services and the differentiating and innovative elements made available by the hotel. However, there is almost always a common feeling we seek, a pleasant and different experience.

Now, the Null Stern is above all experience. In fact, according to Daniel Charbonnier, co-founder of Null Stern, in statements to Business Insider, «the star isn´t the hotel, but every customer. We get rid of all the walls and the only thing that's left, and really matters, is the guest and his experience».

An idea that seems to have attracted the attention of curious and adventurous travellers. Although it was only inaugurated in July 2016, Null Stern reserves are already depleted until the end of 2017. Regardless of the cold, the heat and the seasons, some are looking forward to having this experience. Faced with the success of the search, Charbonnier revealed that «his team is now working together with tourist agencies to take this concept to another region of Switzerland».

Located at 1,970 meters high, it has a queen-size bed with sheets, in an open space and in full contact with Nature, where the sky is the limit. However, to do your hygiene and physiological needs you must go to a bathroom located in the mountains, five minutes from the room.

Thinking of your well-being, as in any other hotel, there is a butler and personalized catering services, as you can order dinner and breakfast in the room and, so, do not miss a minute of the experience that you can safely guess, relaxing.

From accommodations carved out of ice, to other made of metal sheet, there are an infinite number of hotels with infrequent concepts that force us to rethink the hotel´s concept known to this day.

Unusual is true, but contrary to what you may think, the name and concept of the Null Stern aren´t entirely unknown. Between 2008 and 2010, another version of this hotel had been built, but in nuclear bunkers, also located in Switzerland.

And, if the weather is very unfavourable, guests can, happily, cancel the reservations at the last minute, without losing the reservation money that is 210 dollars per night.
