Perfect listening

It's a well-known fact that everybody hears differently. Like our eyes, nose, mouth and all our sensory organs, not all ears are built the same.

But your audio equipment has no way of knowing just exactly "how differently" you hear.

<

Therefore your audio equipment can't take your unique hearing into account when they deliver sound to you, and have to assume that their users have the same "standardized" hearing.

This means you either listen to music at a normal level and miss out on certain sounds or you increase the volume to the point where you hurt your ears.

Not only does the lack of audio-tailoring produce a distortion in the perceived music, but the hearing damage is also a grave concern for music lovers and audiophiles everywhere.

Aumeo corrects sound to your personal hearing sensitivity in the audio signal path from your music player to your ears. It unlocks your best hearing potential so you can hear your favorite tunes the way they were meant to be heard—in all their fullness and richness.

Aumeo is very easy to use. Connect your phone and any pair of earbuds or headphones to Aumeo. Then create your unique audio profile with the companion app, AumeoPlayer (available for iOS and Android), in a quiet place.

And it's done! Your audio profile is now stored on Aumeo. You can now disconnect Aumeo and use it with any headphones or music player to enjoy tailored audio.

Aumeo is avalable at Kickstarter.

Holograms on your living room

Holus is a tabletop holographic platform that converts any digital content from a computer, tablet or smartphone into a 3D hologram. To put it simply, whether it is a board game, DNA structure or the solar system, your content comes alive - view it from four different angles and interact with it in ways that have never been possible.

Use Holus at home to learn, collaborate and have fun. It also opens up opportunities for developers to create their own holographic applications.

There are two versions of Holus available- a home edition with two smart phone charging docks and a Holus Pro. Holus Pro includes an HDMI port and SDK tool so that developers can unleash a world of new possibilities.

Holus can be used as a family entertainment system, business tool or for developers to create their own holographic applications.  Holus provides a natural and intuitive way of engaging with information.

Holus' enhanced interaction promotes memory retention and also health by encouraging users to move around and can also predict a user's position through motion tracking. Unlike many entertainment and wearable systems that tend to isolate people, Holus aims to create a "social campfire" experience that brings people together without having them miss out on real life moments.

Holus is already backed on Indiegogo, and you can still order your own.

Peephole's next step

Your front door is a blind spot. You have no idea when someone comes to your house or leaves your house unless you are there. When a child wanders out of the house or someone comes to visit, you want to know.

Hundreds of years ago, a breakthrough in door technology (tiny door within a door) allowed people to see who was at their door without the risk and inconvenience of actually opening the door. When someone wanted to look out they simply opened the tiny door to take a peek.

In the 1950's there was a another major breakthrough that Popular Science wrote "the peephole is a one way viewer..." where "you can see not only the head of a visitor, but get a full length view."

Not much has changed since then, but peepholes in doors are ubiquitous. Most people don't even realize they have them. We're betting you do, go ahead and check. We'll wait. If you don't have a peephole, We're betting you have a window in your door to look through. That's really just a big peephole.

It's about time the front door peephole got an update. So if you have a door and you have a mobile phone, you need Peeple!

Peeple is a small camera that mounts on your existing peephole or sticks on the glass of your door. It has sensors and a battery and can be easily removed if you want to look through the peephole.

Peeple connects to your home wifi and then sends notifications to you when someone knocks or opens the door. You can be anywhere in the world and as long as you have a mobile phone with a signal, you will receive the notification. You can open the Peeple app (free in the iOS or Android app store) and virtually look through the peephole and see who is at your door.

There is also a history of all your knocks and door opens, so you can keep track of all the comings and goings through your front door. Ever wondered how many people come by when you're not home, whether to sell you something or just see if you're home? Now you'll know. It's even great for screening people when you don't want to come to door.

You can find Peeple on Kickstarter.
