Never lose your luggage again

So, you travel a lot and sometimes – more than you'd like – your luggage get's lost in the myriad of conveyor belts and cars that carry it to the airplanes. It's a problem more and more people have to live with. But the solution is coming.

LEV Technology is finishing it's Kickstart campaign to fund a innovative, very clever and cost-effective device to help you keep track of your luggage, anytime, anywhere in the world, as long as there is a GSM/GPRS connection available. The Smart Unit locates your luggage at any time, any place around the world (wherever a cell phone GSM/GPRS network is available).

The device will shut off at check-in and self-activates upon landing due to its unique patented sofware. After activationg, it connects itself to the GSM networks through text messaging and also to the bluetooth low energy at no cost to you, within an approximate 30 meter range.

It recognizes the networks available and answers location requests when the App is launched and can even send its GPS position on a map to your mobile phone. Also, if anyone tries to open your bag, the device will send you a notification.

The estimated price of this device is around €52 – approximately USD$59
