Luxury audio for music lovers

Personal audio, like MP3 players and smartphones, can be practical and user-friendly, but the true nature of sound can only be appreciated when a decent amplifier processes the audio signal from an excellent turntable or an exquisite CD player and sends it to top of the line speakers, designed and engineered for maximum reliability. Here are some examples of sound engineering made for ultimate listening pleasure.

<

Let's start with a good amplifier. Or a pair of them, in this case. The Vitus Audio SM-102 Monoaural amplifier demands you have one of these for each channel. This way you'll have the purest, cleanest sound. Each SM-102 uses only the finest matched transistors and super precision resistors to ensure optimal working conditions for the different stages of each module.

This combined with a special coupling of each input stage, results in an ultra linear frequency response. The true balanced design, together with the local shunt regulated power supply, ensures excellent signal to noise ratio, making it possible to reveal every micro detail in the recordings. The result is a power amplifier, capable of exposing micro details never heard before without compromising the coherence of the recording. As the design is true balanced, all non-balanced signals are converted to true balanced straight at the first input stage.

Now that we've got the amplifier, let's look at a pair of pre-amps designed to work together, increasing the audio signal from your turntable and CD player. The Vitus Audio SP-102 is an optional phonostage for building directly into the SM-102. This way all components are trully compatible and designed to work together.

A line pre-amp is also needed, in case you have a CD player and a radio tuner on the hi-fi setup. The Vitus Audio SL-102 linestage pre-amplifier guarantees sound quality troughout the system, assuring definition and clarity.

As a CD player you can choose one of the best in the market, the dCS Scarlatti Series CD/SACD transport wich, in conjunction with the matching dCS Scarlatti DAC, gives you a crystal-clear sound on both regular compact discs and Super Audio discs. Scarlatti Transport uses the TEAC Esoteric VRDS Neo™ mechanism which employs super-rigid construction and a brushless motor with heavy flywheel for stable disc rotation. All signal processing and electronics in the transport have been designed by dCS.

The audiophile piéce de resistance has always been the turntable. As many analog sound fans can testify, vinyl still has the best sound quality, body and depth, made by the pressing of grooves on the records. When compared to digital mediums, vinyl has more sound sampling capability and the overall result can be stunning, if you use the right player.

Therefore we give you two choices. Either the state-of-the-art OneDof Turntable, made by the north-american company with the same name, or the Laser Turntable from japanese ELP (yes, it's a laser vinyl player).

The first is a top-of-the-line incredibly robust, stable and amazingly good looking piece of design and engineering, capable of delivering a superior sound quality from any record. Bear in mind that you also need a top-of-the-line nmeedle cartridge to "listen" to the grooves.

The second product is a innovative, almost groundbreaking way of listening to your vinyls. ELP has been working on the Laser Turntable for over 20 years, testing and developing every component, until the company decided it was suitable for consumers. The system is based on a 5-beam laser emitter that measures and reads the depth and width of the grooves, converting this into digital sound information.

It doesn't matter what kind of equipment you have on your sound room if there are no speakers connected to it. And there are so many speakers available in the market…

We've chosen a nice pair: the NTT AUDIOLAB Model 101 Mk II Speakers with room correction are one of the best you can have. These 3-way speakers embodies all technical advances made by the industry in recent years, delivering state-of-the art sound through a highly advanced system of speakers wich include room correction for perfect sound balancing and clarity.

All this is available for a retail price of under €750.000. Enjoy your music.
