The box is small, similar to small sets of documents and emblematic brand. What's interesting about the case is that there is an impression designed to be pressed and perforated. But, this is not in fact the curious system that allows the opening of this package. After pulling the tape that allows and opening, the content includes two bags and a brochure. The brochure gives you a brief history of how sustainable are the parts of the plant.
From what was announced, the new pieces are made from plant-based polyethylene, produced from ethanol from sugarcane. The sugar cane that is used is achieved in a sustainable way in accordance with the guidelines of the Alliance of Bioplastics based materials (BFA), and is certified by the Bonsucro chain-of-custody standard.
Once compared these new elements with existing plant, there is no recognizable differences between the two. Are exactly alike and behave as regular pieces of Lego. You can mix them with your existing collection and you don't need to worry that you don't mix.
