Food & Beverage

In 1999, Janine Allis visited the USA, and noticed that there were juice and smoothie bars everywhere. A working mum, and advocate of conscious food habits, she returned to Australia, her home country, with the idea of opening a Juice Bar in this country. Today, the brand operates in 17 countries, more than any other juice bar in the world, delivering fresh and healthy drinks, and the philosophy to "love life".

Boost was developed by Janine from its very beginning, she developed the structures, business plan and ethics, which became the backbone of Boost store since. She chose to open the first store in Adelaide because she wanted to start small, lessening the financial risk. Now, the brand has over 350 stores, growing at an average rate of two countries and 30 stores every year for four years.

Boost's philosophy is based on the principle of understanding the costumers, what they want, and how they want it, and deliver it. Without this, Boost wouldn't be able to produce the variety of juices, smoothies, and the likes, that are featured in their menu. They actually do something called "Focus group research", which consists of getting big groups of customers into a room, and talk about what they like and don't like about Boost, giving the brand a really good insight on how to improve itself.

Environmental philosophy

At Boost, the environment is very cared for, known to be vitally important. They work to try and minimise the impact on the planet. One of the measures taken for this mission, was to use paper cups. They chose these, for a number of reasons: they are manufactured from a renewable and sustainable resource; printed using non-toxic, food-safe inks, which are not harmful to the environment; and more than 98% of the paper component is biodegradable. Boost is now associated with the Australian Packaging Covenant, and moving to paper cups is one of the first steps taken to on the path to becoming more sustainable.

The menu

Boost Juice Bar's range includes Low Fat Smoothies - freshly blended combos of fresh fruit and low fat yoghurt; Super Smoothies - low fat smoothies with extra energy, containing one of their Boosters to give an extra kick; Fruit Crushes - a low fat blends of fruits, ice and sorbet, 99 percent fat free; Juices - freshly squeezed, pure juices, with 100% fresh fruit, no added sugar; Skinnies - low fat smoothies with even less calories. To present some of the flavours and mixes, Your VIP Partner brings Boost's own "Nutritionist's Choice" list, a selection of healthy and vitamin filled product, especially chosen for their richness: Ginger Tonic - Grapes, ginger, cucumber, apple, kale, coconut water & ice; Pro-Choc - Chocolate, banana, coconut water, coconut milk, whey protein & ice; Mango Mirage - Mango, pineapple, banana, orange, ginger, coconut water, coconut milk, whey protein & ice + lucuma powder & immunity booster; Pure Eden - Apple, pineapple, grapes, kale, spinach, cucumber, lemon, banana, mint, coconut water & ice + all greens booster; Red Royale - Pomegranate, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, beetroot, basil, banana, apple, pineapple, dates, coconut water & ice + superfruit booster; Weekend Warrior - Banana, blueberries, oats, dates, coconut water, whey protein, chia & ice; Wondermelon - Strawberries, freshly juiced watermelon, strawberry yoghurt, whey protein & ice + superfruit booster; Veggie Garden - Cucumber, spinach, celery, carrot, orange, chia seeds & ice; Grape Escape - Grapes, spinach, pineapple, banana, coconut water & ice; Two & Five Juice - Freshly squeezed orange, apple, carrot, cucumber, celery, beetroot, spinach & ice + vita booster.
