Generations building for Generations

From humble beginnings as a small bricklaying business, in the course of the last few decades WilmsHaus became a renowned and established construction company.

<

The art of masonry has been passed on from one generation to the next and has been complemented by architectural and business know-how. Initially, activity was focused on small-scale house construction in the Aachen area (NRW, Germany). As word about quality and good performance tends to spread quickly, commissioning significantly increased in the course of the 1970s, which prompted WilmsHaus to expand its activities into other parts of the country.

Wilms AG itself was initiated in its new legal form in 2001. Today they build successfully throughout Germany with a particular focus on various metropolitan areas.

Combining a suitable concept with a professional approach, including solid on-site expertise, allows the company to vouch for the high quality of the houses they build – also for coming generations.

Always taking into account economic considerations, WilmsHaus home features healthy living environments, maximum comfort and effective energy use. Approved building concepts, a smooth transition between the various stages of construction and end-to-end support and supervision are the cornerstones of stress-free construction and successful completion.

Solid building – clever combining

WilmsHaus stands for solid construction. Stone is a breathable material, which has a highly beneficial effect on indoor air quality and a home's ambience in general. A wall made of stone is also particularly low in harmful substances.

Generally, a combination of stone, concrete and suitable timbers is used. The indoor walls consist of aerated concrete blocks, which are manufactured according to natural methods. These walls also provide very good thermal insulation and stability. Additionally, composite heat insulation systems are widely used for the exterior walls.

Timber is eco-friendly and can be used in a number of areas. When it comes to natural and contemporary materials, the comany strives to maintain a good balance between economic and ecologic aspects in the interest of our clients.

Economy pays off

Currently, private households account for around 30% of energy consumption in Germany. And for the foreseeable future a continuing rise in energy costs can be predicted.Energy efficiency means deriving maximum possible benefit from lowest possible energy use. This approach also has a lasting effect on the lifespan of a new building. A continuous temperature balance contributes much towards structural preservation.

WilmsHaus notably surpasses the strict legal requirements in terms of permitted energy needs, for example by employing highly-efficient installations and highly-insulating building materials in all areas from flooring to roofing. A bivalve wall construction avoids thermal bridges and is complemented by optional measures such as solar technology or special thermal-insulation glazing.

Workmanship and professionalism

Wilms AG shareholders are all members of the founding family and the current company management. For three generations now, the construction of houses has been their passion.

To this day they have erected houses for almost 1,000 clients with a special focus on modern single-family and multi-family houses. The portfolio comprises various types of homes and continues to grow. Keeping up-to-date on innovations in architecture and construction an important factor for long-term success.

The business approach is marked by a combination of down-to-earth craftsmanship and entrepreneurial professionalism. Wilms AG deliberately abstains from risky property development and has chosen the legal form of joint stock company (Aktiengesellschaft) in order to provide financial security to our clients based on a higher basic capital.
