FUEL WHEREVER YOU WANT

Fuelling a car is not always expeditious, and most times it is boring. Besides the detour that we need to do with our vehicle to get to the petrol station, there are still queues to fuel and to pay. The American start-up Booster Fuels has created a service that came to solve this kind of problems.

In a world where smartphones gained an almost mandatory part in our lives, the emergence of businesses based on mobile applications is inevitable. That's what Booster Fuels, founded in 2014, did in the United States of America (USA), when they revolutionized refuelling vehicles through a simple mobile application.

The co-founder, and CEO of Booster, Frank Mycroft, had the idea while filling his wife's car at the end of a long day of work. He idealized the possibility of "getting the fuel pump to the client" and not the other way around, as it usually happens. For that, a simple operation service was created: all that is needed is to park the car as usual, order the service through the Booster Fuels app, and make the payment.

The mobile application recognizes the location where the car is parked and a service truck is sent to refuel the vehicle. After the refuelling is complete, the app sends this information to the client's smartphone. Afterwards, the client only has to make the payment of the price established upon the order.

For now, Booster Fuels has a small fleet of trucks, and operates only in some states of the USA, but for Frank Mycroft, the ultimate goal is to actually eliminate the trips to the fuel station for 90% of car drivers until 2020.

According to the company, the prices are very competitive, and in some cases are even lower than those of fuel stations, because Booster acquires its fuel on a large-scale basis, and is able to avoid certain costs that other fuel companies have, such as real estate costs.

Currently, this service is only available for companies and business campuses, ensuring the refuelling of their own fleets anywhere in the States where the company operates. However, home service is a future option that is being taken into consideration by Booster Fuels, which can make possible ending the need to fuel in a pump station.
