Practicing many kinds of sports, in order to keep fit and healthy, is a 'must', these days. People seem to be very careful and concerned about their daily life quality and also towards the future days.

This theme is for all those who enjoy the pleasure of a good run to keep fit. We all know the importance of being prepared with a good pair of shoes, soft, comfortable and with god cushion protection.

Now, a new proposal arises from the South of France. The idea came up to the designer and developer of Enko Running Shoes, Christian Freschi, when he realized, after passing the age of 40, that all the running shoes on the market did the same thing and did not offer enough shock absorption for his body.

After 12 years of developing this running shoe, he finally has the shoe's design patented.

The production of the shoes is the result of the effort between two European countries: France and Italy. While the design and engineering is fully produced in Toulouse, France; the shoe itself (fabrics and rubber soles) is produced in northern Italy.

Now for the shoe: the Enko Running Shoe features two soles and a design meant to avoid injuries. The shoe is adjusted to the wearers weight. The upper part of the shoe is made of a light breathable mesh to keep the weight down.

In essence, you are adding a new layer of mechanism to your running shoes. The absorbers, which can be changed to adapt to the weight of the wearer, promises to reduce the impact your feet experiences when it hits the ground. But the shoes do more than just protect. They also enhance.

In theory, when a foot hits the ground, the energy there is dispersed and lost – in other words, wasted. Enko "recycles" that energy instead. Energy is stored when the shock absorbers are at rest, at the moment the foot hits the pavement. The energy is released when you lift your heel, helping to push your foot forward and adding to your momentum. The shoes actually have a switch between Walking and Running settings, so that you can wear your Enko shoes even for your day to day activities.

Not so cute, is the price for the pair of running shoes: 390 USD.
