Electric solar bike

After the introduction of top-of-the-line bikes by other brands, German high-tech bicycle manufacturer LEAOS wants to change the game on this developing new industry.

<

The brand is introducing a new model to their current line of electric bikes. The LEAOS Solar will be the first sun-powered bycicle, able to charge either by leaving it under the sun, or directly from a power socket. Just rest your bike on the sun and the battery – or batteries with the additional package – will be filled by the free energy that our star emits everyday, using the integrated solarpanels on it's structure. With an estimated range of 25kms, the LEAOS Solar will become the first self-sufficient electric bike available on the market in two versions, with different range and power. Available have are 250 and 350 watt in power, carrying you with a top speed of 25km/h or 45km/h.

Like the other models from LEAOS, the engine is mid-mounted, providing a low center of gravity. The engineering allows for a very comfortable and easy riding experience, wich will surely become a viable option for big cities and short urban commutes.

LEAOS partnered with several companies to provide the owners of the Solar Bike with sme of the most original options available for e-bikes. NuVinci supplies the continuously variable automatic gear shift system, Brooks manufactures the leather grips and Selle San Marco makes the saddles used on these bycicles.

The vehicle itself can be costumized. The owner can choose from matte and glossy black or white outside frame finish, comfort or sport stem, mud guards, or even the LAOS sidebag, designed specially for the brand's bikes.

The basic model price is around €5.900, without any accessories.
