Double screen and longer battery

Yota Devices has lauched its second mobile phone, designed to please every smartphone user in the world with flagship specifications and hardware, for a smaller price than many.

<

The first generation of the YotaPhone was unexpected and fascinating but high price and low awareness didn't help it get its message across.

YotaPhone2 does well to fix a lot of things that didn't quite work the first time around. Yota Devices announced this new phone in 2013 but it only became available a full year after that date. In the spirit of YotaPhone, the second generation is one of the most interesting gadgets on the market.

On a first glance, the YotaPhone 2 looks just like a regular Android flagship - even a bit old-fashioned, as in curvy and not too slim. The specs mean business though: a gorgeous FullHD AMOLED display, 32GB of storage, LTE, a solidly-built body and buttery-smooth experience courtesy of a Snapdragon 800 chip.

However, your perception of it will change completely once you turn it around. The unique feature is the always-on e-Ink display mounted on the back, safe under a layer of curved Gorilla Glass 3. And this might be the greatest little thing on the YotaPhone2. The low power consumption, highly visible e-ink screen is the distinctive specification on these devices.

Yota has beens selling this new smartphone in Russia and other countries, but to take over the world the company needs funding, and that's exactly what they did via Kickstarter, where the YotaPhone2 was well received and collected many fans.
