Trussardi is an Italian fashion house, founded in 1911. It began as a leather glove manufacturer, and expanded its line to additional leather goods in the 1970s after Nicola Trussardi took over from his uncle. In the 1980s the company starter production of ready-to-wear clothing, in addition to products including perfumes and jeans.
By the 1990s Trussardi was selling internationally, with its largest markets in Italy and Japan. As of 2014 Tomaso Trussardi was CEO, Gaia Trussardi was Creative Director, and Maria Luisa Trussardi was President of the Trussardi Group.
Trussardi products and accessories are concentrated on accessories, 100% Made in Italy, with style that is strong and subtle, incisive and fresh. The Tru Trussardi brand, established in 2005, is the casual young side of Trussardi, incarnating the brand's DNA and presenting an elegant and refined collection with contemporary spirit. Designed for different people with the same sense of style, the Tru Trussardi line focuses on the versatility of its garments that can be easily mixed and matched in looks that range from stylishly smart to trendy, including fun, young street influences, all filtered by the unique taste of Trussardi's world.With a network of stores worldwide, Tru Trussardi sells denim apparel and clothing made of quality materials that reflect a continuous search for new inspiration.
The Trussardi Jeans brand is the casual side of Trussardi style: this iconic, free-spirited world of denim has always been tied to the elegance and culture that distinguish the brand.
Its collections feature quality fabrics and denim and a wide assortment of distinctive silhouettes and strong colors. Each article is distinguished by a tag and button that allow the customer to immediately identify the fit through the logo. Classic fits have been joined over the years by new ones to satisfy the interests of younger customers. The choice of materials has expanded: for the first time, regular denim jeans have been included,
and yarn-dyed fabrics with a wool-like finish are also featured. The color range has also grown and includes cust green, blue-black, and new cool grays and black.
An in-depth research of washes has led to the development of eco, vintage and marbleized treatments.
In the occasion of the Milan Furniture Fair 2011 Trussardi has launched a new collaboration with designer Michael Young for the creation of a design project that reflects the values of the fashion house. The Trussardi MY Design project inspired by the brandʼs commitment to product design that was amply developed in the eighties and nineties through ambitious, spectacular projects and prestigious partnerships with Alitalia, Vespa, and Alfa Romeo. Michael Young has researched in the Trussardi archives to find the historic elements of inspiration for the new collection 100 Collection – Trussardi MY Design.
The history of the brand becomes a source of inspiration for new contemporary products: the 100 Collection combines the distinctive values of the fashion house and its outstanding Italian quality, with the ability to develop new materials and new technologies typical of Asia. The new collection combines 100 years of Italian leather- working expertise with the shapes and technologies of contemporary Asia. The 100 Collection provides new insight in the dialog between East and West and is the essence of high quality, style, and technological innovation.
Since 2005, Trussardi offers fragrances in conjunction with Selective Beauty. Trussardi's first fragrance was Trussardi for women, introduced in a leather-encased bottle designed by Nicola Trussardi himself.
Designer Trussardi has 29 perfumes in our fragrance base. The earliest edition was created in 1983 and the newest is from 2014. Trussardi fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Alberto Morillas, Jean Guichard, Nathalie Lorson, Sophie Labbe, IFF, Alexandra Kosinski, Louise Turner, Lucas Sieuzac, David Apel, Daphne Bugey, Anne Flipo, Beatrice Piquet and Aurelien Guichard.
