There is nothing more elegant and attractive than original paintings of oil painting on canvas, whether in the hallways or in the room at home, or to make more pleasant the offices of any company, both for employees and for potential customers.
By PABLO HERNANDEZ
Obviously, the originals are not available to everyone, either for their own cost, lack of availability (the overwhelming majority is owned by museums) or the costs of all the insurance apparatus that would be necessary to avoid their theft.
Thinking about this the British National Gallery now offers a Print on Demand service of more than 2,000 of the paintings it maintains on permanent display. The paintings are printed on request according to the taste of the customers, the museum guarantees an absolute quality in its reproductions available in various sizes and options, with finish in matte or brightness, printing on poster paper or on screen from the A4 to dimensions that can be agreed between the interested parties and the museum, making available also a varied choice of frames, although they are not mandatory, it is all at the customer's discretion and there is even the option of delivering them at home in more than 80 countries.
And the options are not limited to the type of paper and frame, it is possible to select part of a frame that attracts us and turn it into a frame by itself, the reproductions are not necessarily full size and is within the reach of any pouch, since the smaller size (A4) without any frame costs mere £17.50, price that will increase according to the desired size and obviously with the sumptuous of the frame you want.
The more than 2,000 paintings of the National Gallery gather works ranging from the second half of the 13th century to the early 20th century, including such immortal names as Botticelli, Canaletto, Caravaggio, Cézanne, Constable, Corot, Degas, Gainsborough, Hogarth, Ingres, Monet, Raphael, Rembrandt, Renoir, Rubens, Stubbs, Seurat, Titian, Turner, Van Eyck, Van Gogh or Velazquez. Have you ever imagined the impact of having an authenticated reproduction of a masterpiece of these immortal masters in your office?
The National Gallery was founded in 1824 and is located in Trafalgar Square, Westminster, England, being the fourth most visited museum in the world, staying behind the Louvre (France), the British Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art (United States of America).
It is also highlighted by not charging any admission fee at the entrances for its main exhibition, which is why it is innovative in publishing books, postcards, and now in the high-quality digital reproduction of its paintings to balance its operation without affecting its regular audience.
Its collection, although not of the most numerous when compared with other national galleries of the continental hemisphere, turns out to be considered as encyclopedic since it includes works of all the major innovations of European art. In addition to the collection, the gallery itself has acquired extremely popular objects such as scenarios of various films and series (Skyfall and Dr. Who being the most media).
Apart from this option, the National Gallery has long been betting on merchandising to bring the art to the common people, at in its portal it is also possible to order chocolates, sparkling, reproductions of statues of Leonardo da Vinci, Degas and Rodin, luxury jewellery, scarves, cushions, bound books for the writing of journals, ties, cufflinks, chessboards, travel writing kits and even beach chairs. It must be acknowledged that the National Gallery has been the most innovative of museums in the attempt to disseminate European art, its articles and reproductions confer a touch of good taste and authenticity to any office or division.
