A very fine house
Raine & Horne provides a truly comprehensive real estate service consisting of sales, leasing, management and consulting. The vast resources available to each office in the Raine & Horne network ensure clients benefit from 'on the spot' knowledge of local trends and market conditions.
The Raine & Horne brand
Iconic Australian brand Raine & Horne is a household name, strongly associated with Australian real estate since 1883. As the company has grown, so too has its brand awareness.
In 2008, and again in 2013, Raine & Horne achieved enviable status as an officially recognized Superbrand. It was voted as one of Australia's most trusted brands by the Superbrands Council, a voluntary panel of highly-respected and experienced individuals from the fields of business and marketing. Raine & Horne shares this enviable rating with other iconic Australian brands such as Qantas, Bonds, Coles and Telstra.
In the second decade of the 21st century, Raine & Horne refreshed its brand and launched a renovated identity, combining the brand's many strengths with a sophisticated, contemporary design and welcoming feel. At the core of the new identity is a unique hand-crafted ampersand symbol which represents Raine & Horne's brand ideal 'Positive Partnerships', encompassing the relationships between 'vendors & buyers', 'agents & vendors', 'agents & buyers', and 'property managers & tenants'.
To this day, the Raine & Horne brand continues to strengthen, grow and evolve.
Network /Business Model
Each Raine & Horne office is independently owned and controlled by its proprietors, but with access to the collective strength and comprehensive resources of the Raine & Horne network.
These resources include immediate, specialized knowledge and advice regarding local trends and market conditions, thanks to the inter-office referral system for buyers, sellers, lessors and lessees.
This distinctive edge has resulted in Raine & Horne consistently being listed as one of the world's leading real estate companies, and continually enhancing their strong corporate image.
The remarkable story of Raine & Horne dates back to 1883, when property pioneers Tom Raine and Joseph Horne opened for business in Wentworth Court, Sydney.
Tom and Joseph put in place a set of business practices that have been maintained by Raine & Horne to the present day, with a commitment to personalized service and meeting a client's needs across sales, leasing, management and consulting services for all categories of real estate.
Since those early days, four generations of the Raine family have helped Raine & Horne rise to the top of a competitive real estate market. By the 1970s, the Raine & Horne network stretched across Sydney, yet the group's Board wasn't satisfied, deciding to pursue an expansionary franchising business model.
This proved a major watershed for Raine & Horne, which opened its first franchised office, Raine & Horne Liverpool NSW, in 1976. Since this time, Raine & Horne has grown significantly, to the point where it now has offices across all states and territories in Australia, as well as globally.
Led by Executive Chairman and CEO Angus Raine, in 2013 the group celebrated 130 years in business, making it one of the oldest privately-owned firms in the southern hemisphere and Australia's oldest family-owned real estate firm.
