A swing that helps maintain balance

The balance of the human body is achieved through communication between different parts of the body, the eyes, the vestibular system of the ear and the joints and muscles, when each part works properly the balance system allows us to see clearly while we move, determine the direction and speed of movement and opt for automatic adjustments while maintaining the posture and stability in any activity, from the simplest to the most demanding.

What does a swing have to do with balance? Everything. Using a swing requires a good balance and coordination ability. For children it is an excellent exercise that stimulates a sensory integration. The movement of the swing requires a response from the body, begins in the brain that transmits impulses to the muscles that control the movements of the eyes, neck, head, trunk and legs, the entire body is in communication, so it is very useful for adults too, a great way to train the balance mechanism and never forget what we learned in kids.

The Kodama Zomes have all the advantages of a traditional swing, plus, the way they are suspended from a single center point results in a smoother move in any direction and still avoids discussions about the place on the swing - there is room for the whole family.

A zome is a structure that uses unusual geometries, was born by the junction of dome and zonohedron, a polygon where every face point symmetry, under rotations of 180 °. This type of structure, once always created on the ground, was an inspiration to the Kodama Zomes, which can be compared to the symmetry found in a pine cone. This connection to nature is present in the structure, its unique design is inspired by the symmetrical patterns found in nature, which allied with the design create a piece of comfort that is simultaneously a work of art.

The swing meets all the requirements of a quality piece of furniture. The structure is strong, simple and beautiful, easily customized by the color of the pillows that lining the structure and, any subsequent accommodation, whether they are more pillows or some light source. Can be used in any space indoors or outdoors, suspended by the stand itself, in the ceiling or trees - just use the imagination. In addition to these features can still be used by anyone, and everyone enjoy an experience of comfort and relaxation.

The team that develops the Kodama aims to offer a swing that combines comfort with health benefits, available at the lowest possible cost while maintaining respect for the environment, research for new materials and construction options is continued.
